Madeline "Patsy" (Dusch) Alter

Alter, Madeline Dusch “Patsy” 85, of Greenfield. Passed surrounded by loved ones on Friday February 23, 2018. Preceded in death by her beloved husband George Alter, parents Francis and Madelyn Dusch and brothers Frank, Joseph, James, and Paul. Survived by her loving sons Shawn and Dave Schaffer. Madeline is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters Robert (Eileen) Dusch, Daniel ( The late Ann)Dusch, Barbara ( The late Joseph) Giannetta, Sr Grace Madeline I.H.M., Margaret Dusch, John (Anne) Dusch, Richard Dusch, Kathleen (John) McMichael, Maureen (James) Kudis and Jerry “J.D.” Dusch. Madeline is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Madeline worked a number of years at Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation and then worked 27 years as a City of Pittsburgh School crossing guard, along with working part time at 20/20 opticians. She was also a participant in the Look Ahead diabetes study through the University of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received on Monday from 2-8 PM in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home 500 Greenfield Ave 15207. Funeral Tuesday at 1130 A.M. with Funeral Mass at 12 noon in St Rosalia Church.
