Connell, Richard M. “Dick”, age 79, of Greenfield. Passed unexpectedly on Thursday October 19, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Genevieve Connell, Brothers Larry and Jerry Connell, and his granddaughter Jaime Connell. Dick is survived by his loving children Lisa (Jeff) Truax, Jennie (Frank) Sciarretti, Colleen Strom, and Michael (Anne) Connell. Beloved grandfather of Theresa, Joseph, Orlando, Lindsay, Jacob, Christian, Madison, Mary, and Great Grandfather of 5. Brother of Rosemary D’Ambrosio and Lois Fagan. Dick is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Dick proudly served his country for 8 years as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, and also served 22 years with The Allegheny County Police as an officer and detective. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. Funeral Service Monday at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
