Kocan, Audrey 83, of Greenfield passed peacefully on Saturday January 6, 2018. Our Mom, Gram, and friend sadly ended her journey with us here on this earth to begin a new journey in peace with Joe, her husband, her parents Ann and Joseph Depkon, and her daughter Karen Lippi … or as Mom would say, 'Just think that I am at the bingo or casino and will save your seat for you when it is time for you to come join us'. Although her devastating illness robbed us of having this marvelous Mom/Gram with us for some time, we were given the privilege of guiding her body and soul to a final place to rest and in that journey we learned some precious lessons that only a Mom's love could truly provide. With broken hearts and strong sense of self, we her daughters Donna, Jo Ann (Mark Mazza), and Amy (John Oswald) have hopefully gained the courage to help this love to grow in her cherished grandchildren Jill Lippi, Christopher Lippi (Melissa), Brandon Mazza, Nicolas Mazza, Jamie Oswald, and JJ Oswald, and great grandchildren Ava and Christopher, as Mom's priority was always her family. Alzheimer's disease affects not just an individual but an entire family and we each struggled with the need to understand and help. Our Mom/Gram taught us to be strong and caring individuals and we want everyone to remember her as the kind, funny, full-of-life, and loving person she was and not allow the disease to overshadow what a truly amazing person she was ...
