Toomey, Gertrude C. (Casey), 95, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 12th 2018 in Shrewsbury, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William B. Toomey and her son, William R. Toomey. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Bob) Ketenheim, along with her daughter-in-law, Joan Toomey. She was blessed to have 3 grandchildren, Sean (Karen) Toomey, Erin (Travis) Lambert and Katie (Dan) Schwienteck, along with 3 great grandchildren, Quinlan & Shannon Toomey and Nathan Lambert. She was a kind, sweet and loving lady who touched the lives of all who knew her. Family and friends will be received on Friday June 15th, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15207. Funeral Saturday June 16, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass in St. Rosalia Church, 411 Greenfield Ave.,at 12 Noon. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to a charity of your choice.
