Rizzo, John Nicholas “Buddy” 87, formerly of Lincoln Place and Delmont. Passed away at home in Irwin, after a courageous 2-1/2 year battle with Alzheimer’s on Friday March 30, 2018. John was born November 22, 1930 in Greenfield to the late Angelo and Angelina Rizzo. Survived by the love of his life for 64 years Verna “O’Connell” Rizzo of Irwin. Loving father of three daughters Cheryl (Rich) Bertoty of Irwin, Victoria Reinheimer (John Klavon) of Baldwin, and Barbara Rosol (Rich Heaps) of Irwin. Eight Grandchildren, Michelle Reinheimer, Danielle (Chris) Quinten, Noelle (Kevin) Haser, Raquelle Reinheimer, Amber Rosol, Marcin Bertoty, Sandra Bertoty, David Bertoty, and two great-grandchildren, Mason Quinten and Layonna Bertoty. John is also survived by his twin sister Sarah (the late Howard) Trojanowski, and preceded in death by siblings Virginia (James) Rossi, Kay (Carl) Echman, Hilda Bonaddio, Anna (George) Hudak, Eugene “Jamie” (Louise) Rizzo and Thomas Rizzo. Also survived by many loving Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. You may have left this would, but never our hearts. John retired from the City of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and playing cards. He loved to travel and be outdoors. He loved to play with his great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Monday from 1 to 4 P.M. in the Edward P Kanai Funeral Home 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207.
