Margaret (nee Magee) Lockard Gample

Gample, Margaret (nee Magee) Lockard age 80, of Clarence, NY, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2018. Margie was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 30, 1937, the second daughter of the late William A. Magee and the late Anna Okorn Magee. Her greatest joy in her life was being mother to David (Janet Keller) Lockard of Cincinnati, OH, M. Kathryn (Craig) Ziegler of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia (Michael) McLain of Williamsville NY, and Colleen (Michael) Monson of Chicago, IL and Ft. Myers, FL; grandmother to Matthew Ziegler (Rabekah Denrich), Alexandra (Spencer) Rudow, Kyle (Katie) McLain, Claire McLain, Maggie Monson (David Pfeiffer), Mitchell Monson, Abby Lockard; and great- grandmother to Harper Rudow. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and never missed a special occasion or opportunity to challenge them to a game of Parcheesi. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Thomas R. Gample. Margie was a proud member of the Magee family and made sure to trace her family lineage while on a trip to Ireland. She was a graduate of St. Rosalia High School, a Steelers fan, an avid bridge player and accomplished seamstress. She was known for the beautiful matching outfits she and her young daughters wore for holidays and special occasions. Margie was a life-long resident of Pittsburgh until relocating to Western New York at the age of 76. Up until recently, she was a snowbird who enjoyed wintering in Ft. Myers, Florida. Kanai Funeral Home. 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207 A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at twelve o’clock noon at St. Rosalia Church, 411 Greenfield Ave. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Afterwards, family and friends will enjoy a party at the Duquesne Club that Margie would enjoy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margie’s name may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
