Adelmo "AL" Palmieri

Adelmo J Palmieri “Al” age 84, of Greenfield, on July 11th 2024 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Michele and Vincenza Palmieri on November 22, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Al was born and raised in Oakland and in 1970 married Flora Kamberis. In 1984 they moved to Greenfield to raise a family. Al is preceded in death by his wife Flora who passed away on April 13, 2010. At the time of her death, they had been married close to 40 years. Al is survived by his sons Vince (Michele) and Anthony (Tiffany). His beloved grandchildren, Gabriela, Gianni, Francesca, and Lydia. He is also survived by his brother Bruno (Mary Lou - Deceased), Sister-in-law Christine (Anthony – Deceased) DeMatteo, Sister-in-law Bessie (Lenny – Deceased) Ferency. Predeceased by his brother Frank (Petrina) Palmieri, who raised Al and his brothers following the passing of their father.  His brother Edward (Florence) Palmieri, Brother-in-law Spiro (Marge Survived) Kamberis. Al had many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. He was a man of hard work and strong principals, who would not hesitate to help anyone, anytime, anywhere. He set the finest example of love and selflessness to his family and countless friends. Friends will be received at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. Pittsburgh, Pa 15207 on Sunday July 14, 2024 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Funeral at 9:30 A.M. in the Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 10 A.M at St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Rosalia Worship Site.
