Amanda Fisher

Fisher Amanda, 77 of Point Breeze. On Friday, May 27 a whole family lost a beautiful soul and kind spirit. She passed away at Shadyside Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Preceded in death by her parents, Agnes (Moore) and George Toole of the Brookline section of Pittsburgh; mother and father-in-law, W. Russell and Mary Jane (Free) Fisher formerly of Galion OH; and brother-in-law Charles Payne of Galion OH. 

Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Dr. David A. Fisher of Point Breeze and by her Beloved children, Stephen R. Fisher (Christa Diemel) of Basel Switzerland, Matthew T. (Amy Lawson) Fisher of Pittsburgh, Timothy D. Fisher of Rockville Maryland, Edward A. (Rachel Beardsley) Fisher of Greenfield, Jessika (Joshua) Brown of Greensburg, and Judith Fisher (Jeffrey Schwarz) of Greenfield; Siblings, Stephen (Violet) Toole of Wallkill NY,  Barbara Toole O'Neil of San Francisco CA; Sister-in-law, Marjorie Payne, formerly of Galion OH.; Grandchildren, Nora, Leah, Brenden, Elizabeth, Alex, Joshua Jr, Nathan, Andrew, Danny, Emma, and Allyssa; and Nieces and Nephews, Michael Toole, Kathryn Toole, Patrick Toole, George O'Neil, Shawn Payne, Aaron Payne and Shannon Payne. 

Amanda and David were together for more than 60 years and raised six children of their own, she was a second mom to her children's spouses and so many others. She adored her 11 grandchildren and cherished her brother, sister and sister-in-law. She loved seeing and hearing about the lives of her many nieces and nephews as often as possible. She was devoted to her husband and her family and loved them with all her heart. She was such a light in the lives of all who knew her, and she is already greatly missed with love and thoughts every day. 

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in The Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Sunday in the Funeral Home.
