Benjamin D. Lecrone, 49, of Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, PA passed on to his next life Saturday 12/3/22, surrounded by family and embraced by love. Ben was born May 24, 1973. He was the youngest of four children to Frank and Virginia Lecrone, Jr of Spruce Creek, PA. He was married to his amazing wife, Rachel Mizikar Lecrone, for nearly 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, two wonderful children, Anna and Edward Lecrone, and three siblings. Ben was a graduate of SouthWestern H.S. in Hanover PA and Penn State University in State College PA. He was a tremendous husband, father, son and brother for decades. He enjoyed science fiction, irreverent comedy, bird watching, history, gourmet cooking, and aquatic landscaping.
Ben courageously battled congenital heart issues his entire life. His uniquely positive and determined approach to life served as an inspiration to all who met him. His life will be celebrated by family and friends throughout the coming months. Ben will be deeply missed, a shining star that will never dim.
