Cynthia Buchanan

Buchanan, Cynthia A, 65, formerly of Point Breeze and Banksville, passed peacefully on Friday August 25th, 2023.  Preceded in death by her parents Anna Lois Scigliano and Rocco “Rocky” Scigliano and beloved sisters Carolyn “Carrie” and Laura Rose Scigliano. She is survived by her husband Chas Buchanan and loving children, Rachel Buchanan and Spencer Buchanan. Siblings, Kris (Lorraine) Scigliano, Nathan R. (Kathleen) Scigliano, and Nicholas J. (Jeannine) Scigliano.  And beloved grandchildren Santina, Rocco, and Olivia. Cindy was a loving mother and grandmother, talented musician, artist, champion billiards player.  She loved helping people and served the City of Pittsburgh selflessly during her working years in the Senior Community Centers. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing and making Halloween costumes for her friends and family. Visitation will be private at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207 followed by private burial at the Homewood Cemetery.  A memorial service and celebration of Cindy's life will be held at a later date.
