Cynthia Davis

Cynthia Davis passed away August 15, 2021 at the age of 53. Cindy was a loving, generous and fun mother and daughter who changed countless lives.

She greatly valued the arts and brought music and journalism to communities that did not previously have it. Cindy created newspapers and magazines, organized city orchestras, and for decades provided new opportunities for children who would not have them without her.

Cindy loved making life as fun as possible for everyone around her. From things as simple as cooking for family to trips to Disney World, she brought out the best in every situation, and the best in every person.

She was creative, witty, mischievous, and kind. She loved classic movies, punk rock music, and a Tom Collins with grenadine. Most of all, she loved her children fiercely and supported them in all things.

She was loved deeply by many, including her son Alex and his partner Peter, daughter Chelsie and her husband Travis, father Gary and late mother Jeri, and sisters Holly and Jennifer.

A memorial service will be held on September 24th at Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home in her hometown of Greenfield in Pittsburgh, PA. A visitation will take place from 10am-12pm followed by a private ceremony.
