David A. Vasko, 65 of Brighton Heights, formally of Greenfield passed peacefully on May 20, 2026. Preceded by his parents Francis & Mary Ann Vasko (Greenfield) & his partner Shelia Ubel. Survived by his sister Deborah "Debbie" Vasko & brother Daniel M. Vasko. David was a loving father-figure to Destiny Ubel & was a loving "pap" to her son Dyllan Kessler (Pittsburgh).

David was born in Pittsburgh & grew up in Greenfield. Graduate of Allderdice HS 1979. Earned a degree & became a vet tech. Years later, his passion for baking led him to a career as a baker at Breadworks (Northside) until he retired. David was most happy in the PA outdoors & had spent leisure time fishing alongside his brother Dan & hunting with his father. He enjoyed bowling & watching classic westerns.

David's journey on this earth was not without life's bumps. His selflessness & unwavering care for the people closest to him defined who he was. His brother & sister will forever remember sharing childhood summer days with him at Magee Field & camping in Pymatuming. His quiet yet robust spirit will be fondly remembered by his entire family to include his many aunt & uncles, cousins & childhood friends.
