Diane (Fitzhenry) Kielur, of Hays, age 62, died unexpectedly at work, on Monday April 17, 2023.  Daughter of Naomi and the late Regis Fitzhenry. Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years Raymond; children Bernadette (Thomas) Paternoster, Kathleen (Danny) Dietz and Joey (Jordyn Dowling) Kielur; grandchildren Isabella and Thomas Paternoster, Desirae and Cooper Dietz and Kylie Kielur. There is no doubt she was welcomed in heaven by her daughter Diane, who she has loved and missed terribly for the past 30 years. She is survived by her sisters Naomi Fitzhenry, Kathy Fitzhenry, Judy (Joe) Fitzhenry, Eileen Baldy, Janet Fitzhenry and Regina Fitzhenry; brothers in law Teddy (Debra) and Marty Kielur. Aunt and Great-Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was proud of her children and grandchildren; she was their #1 cheerleader throughout all their activities and accomplishments. She was a compassionate and caring nurse, earning a Daisy Award for her commitment to doing what is best for every patient. She was a boss, a mentor, and  a friend throughout her nursing career. Everyone she has met holds a memory of Diane they surely won’t forget whether it was karaoke, bingo, her “bite me” catch phrase, or hanging out by the pool with a mudslide. Her energy, laughter, and love will never be forgotten. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Visitation on Friday will begin at 10:30am with  blessing service in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M.
