Edward A. Chope

Chope Edward “Ed” 72 of Irwin formerly of Greenfield. Passed after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. Preceded in death by his sister, Sue Ellen Sofo. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Fran Reese-Chope; and loving son, Ryland. Also survived by numerous cousins and many friends. Ed was the former owner of the Wingreen Bar in Greenfield. He was avid outdoorsman, and liked to spend his time outdoors fishing, camping, and hiking.  Ed was also big musician. He loved to play guitar, which he passed onto his son. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfeld Ave. 15207. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
