Eugene Anthony Rizzuto, (Gene) 1963 – 2025
On March 8th, 2025, Eugene A. Rizzuto (Gene) of Pittsburgh, PA passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving behind a family and many treasured friends whose hearts have been shattered in disbelief.
Born on March 29, 1963, to Camillo and Rose Marie Rizzuto, he attended St. Rosalia Grade School, graduated from Central Catholic High School and continued his education at the School of Computer Technology and the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career working for Federated Investors and moved onto opening his company, IPES International, Inc in 1997, specializing in magnetic separation equipment worldwide.
Gene is survived by his wife of forty years, Maribeth (Salley) Rizzuto, daughters Christina and Ashley, sons-in-law Chris Popojas and Matt Gallardo, and was a loving Pap to his grandchildren Connor and Caylee Popojas, and Jack and Lucy Gallardo; his cherished mother Rose Marie, brother Mario and sister-in-law Josie Rizzuto. Brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Nancy Salley, Kevin and Valerie Salley, Terry and the late Jim Provenzano, Bryan and Tami Salley, the late Maura Salley and Lori Salley along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his father Camillo, his grandparents, Mario and Raimonda Rosati and Eugenio and Maria Rizzuto.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. A Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Funeral Home.
