Genevieve "Genny" Ciganek

Ciganek Genevieve “Genny” (Baker) 84, Formerly of Arizona, raised in Greenfield. Passed peacefully on Friday, July 8, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband, John F. Ciganek; parents, Francis X. Baker and Anna C. Baker; and brother, Francis F. Baker. Survived by her siblings, Anna Marie (The late Joseph) Keller, Regina A. (The late William) Smith, and Geraldine and Vincent Rattay (The late Edward McCague); also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Genny proudly served as a Registered Nurse for 42 years. Half of her career was spent in Pittsburgh and the other half in Chandler Arizona. Genny’s sister, Geraldine and her niece, Debbie Driscoll were dedicated caregivers. Traveling all the way to Arizona to bring Genny back to Pittsburgh via train to be with family. Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in The Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home. Funeral Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish—St. Rosalia Worship Site.
