George Davern, Jr. Obituary

George Patrick Davern, Jr. of Greenfield. Passed away May 2nd at the age of 54 after suffering a heart attack. George Jr. is survived by his parents George Sr. and Melva Davern, his companion Pam McCauley and their daughter Shelby McCauley (Anthony), sister Laura Burdette (fiancé Jon), brothers Jack Davern (Janice) and Jason Davern (Stacey), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, his loving pets Charlie, Darby, Toby, and Logan.

George Davern, Jr. was a tough guy with a heart of gold. He was an absolute Wildman and one-of-a-kind in all the best ways. He loved his family and many friends. George was especially proud of his daughter Shelby. He was the cool uncle who kept the kids’ pockets “swollen”. George hosted some legendary Greenfield parties over the years, but more importantly he hosted many friends in their times of need or for whatever reason needed a place to stay. George was your friend for life. He put everybody on a pedestal and made you feel like a Rockstar. He did not compete with anybody. He bravely lived by his own rules while being the most loyal, caring, and giving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be missed dearly.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 7:30 with Blessing Service in the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207.
