John S. Burger

John S. Burger, 79 of Glenshaw formerly of Greenfield. Passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025. Preceded in death by his children, Kimberly Burger, and Anthony and Vincent Mazzocco. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Karen McGown Burger; beloved children Vincent Jay (Maribeth) Burger, Christina Mazzocco; daughter in law Debra Mazzocco; grandsons Anthony Mazzocco and Aidan John Doyle; sisters, Mary Lou Burger Underwood and Jane (Anthony) Pastorak; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John proudly served his country in the Coast Guard, after discharge he became a Pittsburgh Fire Fighter and served for 25 years retiring as Captain. Friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish—St. Rosalia Worship Site.
