John S. Listisen

John Listisen, age 81 of Butler, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Listisen. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Listisen, and loving children Lauren (Dan) Bombich, Jay (Heidi) Listisen, Jill (Les) Ankney and Ginger Anderson and his beloved grandchildren Ryan, Kayla, Holly, Josh, Madison, Liam, Connor, Luke, Brennon, Quinn, Cierrah, Kai, Willow and Lilly. He is also survived by his sister Joanne (Will) Hunter, three nieces Leslie, Lynn and Karen, and his crazy, curious fur baby Oreo. John proudly served our country in the Navy from 1962-1966. He was an airplane enthusiast and loved working on his planes and enjoyed hiking, biking and kayaking. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, visitation and Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s honor may be made to The Butler Freeport Community Trail at: www.butlerfreeporttrail.org.
