Joseph Draganosky Obituary

Dr. Joseph E. Draganosky, 78, of Littleton, Colorado unexpectedly passed away on June The 11th, 2022. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Alice Bovard and parents John and Anne Draganosky, and is survived by his grandchildren Davis Brandvold, Elise Brandvold, Dustin Brandvold and Madeline Brandvold.
Joseph was born on October 14th, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Central District Catholic High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1969 where he worked as a data processing technician achieving the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. He served on the USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14) while it was operating in combat missions in the far east.
After his honorable discharge, he earned his Masters of Science from The Hahnemann Medical College, and his Doctorate of Psychology from Western Colorado University. He became recognized as a Psychologist by the Pennsylvania Board of Psychologist Examiners.
Joseph worked in the mental health field where he primarily worked with children for the majority of his career. Joseph worked with the Philadelphia General Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as helping to develop the Kidstreet program at Children's Hospital Colorado. He also worked as a consultant with his wife, Alice Bovard, for a number of schools, mental health centers, and government agencies helping children, adolescents, and adults develop skills to successfully solve their personal problems.
Not only did Joseph work with children professionally but he was also a loving grandparent to his four grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to Joseph and it was his ultimate joy in life to be a supportive grandparent to his family nearby. Joseph will be greatly missed and his impact on his loved ones will live on for many years to come.
Joseph is buried with both his parents and his aunt and uncle at St. John The Baptist Cemetery, Glass Run Road & Churchview Ave. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
