On Thursday, December 3rd, 2020, Lisa Kent, loving daughter and sister to two brothers, passed away at the age of 57. Lisa was born in 1963, in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Thomas and Virginia Kent. She was proud to have attended St. Rosalia grade school where she would later volunteered teaching CCD classes. After graduating from Sacred Heart High Lisa studied at Seton Hill College before embarking on a 38-year career with Prudential Financial. For the majority of her time at Prudential Lisa worked and lived in Bedminster, NJ. Although she lived far away Lisa maintained a love for her family and childhood friends “back home” in Pittsburgh. She frequently returned to her beloved Greenfield neighborhood where she enjoyed reminiscing with her childhood friends about the nuns at St. Rosalias, fourth of July races at Magee field, First Communion parties and all things “Growing up Greenfield.” Lisa never missed sending a card or gift for every special occasion and delighted in organizing birthday parties, anniversaries and other special events for her loved ones. She was also a loyal fan of the Penguins and Steelers and kept closets full of Pittsburgh sports memorabilia. Lisa also had a passion for her work and received many awards and accolades while at Prudential. She was highly valued and loved by her co-workers who treated her as family since day one. Someone from Prudential was always available to check on her when she was sick, surprise her with a home cooked meal, or look after her cats Bruce and Bruno who she thought of as her children. Lisa touched so many lives during her 57-years and left behind such beautiful memories. Her kindness, love and dedication will endure in our hearts forever. We love you Lisa. Lisa is preceded in death by her Father Thomas Kent and survived by her Mother Virginia “Nieny” Kent and two brothers Jim and Tommy. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish, St. Rosalia Worship Site.
