Kolesar, Nicholas “Chirpy”, 90, of Greenfield passed peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2021. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Gail Brandtner Kolesar; siblings Mary Vatral, Anna Szybowicz, Helen Menin, Margaret Ciganek, John and Andrew Kolesar, George Jopinko, and Stephen Kolesar. Survived by his loving children Larisa (Tom) Thomas, and John (Kim) Kolesar; beloved grandpa to Rebecca and Christopher Thomas and Brent Kolesar; loving companion to Jean Smith and her daughter Sharon Smith. Chirpy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends at the Greenfield Senior Center. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul Cathedral- St. Rosalia worship site.
