Phyllis Cronin

Phyllis Eileen Cronin (Kestner), 84, passed away peacefully on November 26. A lifelong Pittsburgh resident, Phyllis made her home in Greenfield, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and unwavering devotion.

Phyllis worked for many years in food services with the Pittsburgh Board of Education, where she took pride in caring for the students she served. Each summer, she found joy and relaxation at her trailer in Moraine Camplands, a place she cherished and shared with loved ones.

Phyllis was strong, kind, and supportive—qualities that shaped every aspect of her life and touched everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond A. Cronin; her children Leslie Kensinger (Cronin), Raymond “Skip” Cronin, and Robert “Crow” Cronin; her mother Rita Richards; her father Francis Kestner; her sisters Norma Gaetano and Donna Kestner; and her brothers Francis Kestner, Robert Richards, and William Richards.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Grasha (Cronin); her sisters Rita Kush and Angel McAfee; as well as 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

May her strength, kindness, and steadfast love continue to inspire those she leaves behind. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish--St. Rosalia worship Site. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward P.
