Maffeo Robert “Bob” 67 of Lincoln Place formerly of Greenfield. Passed peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert J and Florence Maffeo. Survived by his beloved wife, Karen Maffeo, loving son, Christopher (MaRissa) Herrera, sisters, Roseann (Steve) Stefan, Angela Hall, and his twin, Roberta “Bertie” Maffeo and nieces and nephews, Gina (Dion) Psomas, Amy (Michael) Holoubek, Jon Hall, Emilee Derewicz, Steve Derewicz and Cole Mason. Also survived by numerous family members. Bob was many things. He was a source of love and support to all who knew him. His generosity was without limit and his love unconditional. He was funny. His humor was dry, but always on offer. He was a hard worker and a proud champion of unions. The first of which he joined at the age of 13 working at the stadium with his father and then serving as a Union representative during his 30 year tenure working at Giant Eagle. Afterward he would go on to operate his very successful small business, Affordable Seamless Gutters. He worked so hard for so long, but not for himself. Sure, he had nice things, but that was never what truly motivated him. His deepest aspiration was to have the power to help. Anytime someone needed it, from the many tasks he was volunteered into by Karen and Chris to the many times he was able to help people out of a jam. If he were able to be useful, he was happy. Bob was the dad who stepped up. He was a dad to many more children than he fathered. The lives of which are forever better for having known him. Above all else, his greatest gift was his presence. He was there. For everyone and for anyone. Friends will be received on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home 500 Greenfield Avenue 15207. A Blessing Service will take place on Friday at 11am in the Funeral Home.
