Robert P. 'Jabo" Jablonowski

Robert “Jabo,Bob” Jablonowski, age 75 of Greenfield. Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2023. Bob was born on October 1st, 1947. Son of the late Anthony and Catherine Jablonowski. He is survived by his sister, Cyndee Jablonowski and brother, Ray Jablonowski. Bob attended St. Rosalia School, Central Catholic High School, and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a degree in Chemistry in 1969. Bob worked as a vendor at Forbes Field, for the post office for a short time, and even helped a plumber for a while. In recent years he worked as an usher at the Pittsburgh Paints Arena and the Pitt Petersen Center. After graduation, Bob worked for many years at Duquesne Light and then First Energy. Bob was devoted to his family, and many friends. He attended Mass at St. Rosalia Church every Sunday, and holiday. He served as an usher there for many years. Bob enjoyed working with the Central Catholic Golf team, and all his outings with family and friends. He golfed himself, but poor eyesight and health issues prevented him from doing so recently, but he was able to watch many golf tournaments on television. Bob loved our dog, Jake and took him on many walks before Jake died. Bob was very grateful and surprised when he received a scholarship from the Steelers to attend Pitt. He has been a Steeler season pass ticket holder for many years, and took friends and family members to many games. He was even able to attend several Super Bowls. Bob will be missed by his family and friends. Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish--St. Rosalia Church Worship Site.
