Ronald Ditillo

Ronald A. Ditillo, 72, of Penn Hills, formerly of Hazelwood. Passed peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Brother of Michael, brother-in-Law to Jean (Litwin) Ditillo, Godfather of their daughter, Andrea Ditillo. Preceded in death by his father, Henry, and mother Rose. Among the many good friends, he has left behind were Carol, Linda, Tom, Paul, Walt and Chris. Ron loved sports of all kinds, especially pirate baseball, even attending their spring training fantasy camp. He looked forward to his fishing trips to Canada with his out of state friends. Ron graduated from Pitt in 1973 and during that time he developed a lifelong love of Shakespeare. Ron was employed by Giant Eagle for 40 years, working his way up from produce clerk to Business Analyst when he retired. He was active in his church, serving as an usher and working on their summer festivals. He will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Light of Life Rescue Mission, 913 Western Ave. Pittsburgh Pa 15233. Friends will be received on, Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Cathedral Parish--St. Rosalia Worship Site.
