Rose Mascara

 Rose Eleanor (DePaolo) Mascara  93, formerly of Lincoln Place, died peacefully on Friday April 17th, 2020 with her family at her side at Concordia of Monroeville.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Anthony Mascara and her parents, Vincenzo and Olympia DePaolo of Greenfield PA.  She was one of 10 children and is survived by only one sister, Helen Simons Wilson of West Chester PA.  Loving mother of Carol (Dick) Hart, Linda (Bruce) Livengood, Julie (Stan Jankovic) Mascara, and Lori (Mark) Colangelo; grandmother of Eric & Brian Hart, Jaclyn (Andrew) Kwiatkowski, Kelsey Livengood, Hannah (Drew) McCaffrey, Joshua & Zachary (Lindsay) Olshenske, David DePaolo, Ryan Colangelo, Michael Colangelo (Iesha)  and Matt Jankovic; GiGi to four great grandchildren, Jackson & Everett Kwiatkowski and Weston & Blakely Olshenske.   She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and loved to cook her family recipes for anyone and everyone who crossed her threshold.  She was devoted to her family and was the queen of greeting cards, never forgetting to send a card for any occasion.  She had a great sense of humor and "loved“ her weekly trips to the hairdresser.  She will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.  Funeral services will be private for immediate family with internment at Calvary Cemetery.  A mass of remembrance and memorial service will be scheduled at a date later in the summer.
