McCarthy Thomas J., Sr. 84, of Hazelwood. Passed peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021. Preceded in Death by his beloved wife Dorthy McCarthy; Parents Joseph and Anna McCarthy; and siblings Catherine Conard, Mary Ann Allenbaugh, and John McCarthy. Survived by his loving children Daniel (Veronica) McCarthy, Theresa Dillon and Thomas (Dena) McCarthy, Jr.; Grandchildren Natalie, Matthew (Elizabeth), Garrett (Sarah), Shawn (Christina), Kathleen (Zachary), Kyle, Anthony (Ashley), Dakota, Taylor, Zach, and Hunter. Great Grandchildren Claudia, Jameson, Zoe, Irisa, Andrew, Andy and Lily. Siblings Joseph McCarthy, Agnes Skeels, and James McCarthy. Thomas is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. He took pride in his family, and his work as the president of Hazelwood Lumber, and later as an estimator for Mark Anthony Construction. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral Parish-St. Stephen Worship Site. Please meet at the church on Wednesday. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will conclude services at St. Stephen’s.
