Kender Victor S., Passed peacefully on Friday December 4, 2020. Son of the late Virginia and John Kenderski, Beloved husband of the late Eileen Wadding for 44 years. Proud father of Mary Eileen (James) Edwards, Patti Ann (Robert) Krohmaly, James Francis (Michelle) Kender, Terri Lynn (Michael) Startari. Brother of John (Donna) Kenderski, Walter (Jackie) Kenderski, Edward Kenderski, and Thomas Kenderski, Dorothy (William) Antonelli, Ginny Walker, and the late Irene Nahay and Joan Galido. He was also survived by 12 wonderful and talented grandchildren and one great grand daughter. Vic graduated from Oliver High School in 1952 and was proud to be named it’d most Valuable Football Player in 1951. He met his beautiful Irish wife at the West View Danceland on St. Patrick’s day in 1956 and was married in late 1957. Eileen was the daughter of the late Bridget and James Wadding. He was a self taught artist and attended night classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Ivy School of Professional Art and Carnegie Tech. He was employed at Allis- Chalmers, Western Electric of North Carolina, Pitt Studios, Auburn Atomic and the Westinghouse Astronuclear and Waste Technology Divisions as a technical airbrush artist, Designer and Graphics Manager. He retired in 1991. Vic also established Kender Art Associates with Mary Edwards and Ed Lipsman. Vic was a former Steeler season ticket holder and a fan of the Pirates, Penguins, and Pitt Panthers. He love all sports. Also an avid golfer, proud of making the first ever hole-in-one at the Riverview Golf Course on the par 4, 12th hole in 1963. Vic was a Northsider but lived in Greenfield for over 50 years and was an usher at St Rosalia Church. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Final prayers will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral, St. Rosalia worship site. In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial Masses.
