It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Vincenzo Sacca of Squirrel Hill, who passed away on Thursday September 24, 2026, at the age of 84. 

Vincenzo was the beloved husband of Angela Sacca, his childhood sweetheart. Vincenzo left his home in Italy, and his entire family in his twenties to a life here in America. Leaving his homeland was not easy, but he made the journey with courage and determination. Together Vincenzo and Angela built a life grounded in faith, hard work, and love. 

Vincenzo was the devoted father of the late Peter Anthony Sacca, Vincenzo (Shari) Sacca Jr., Tonia Angela (Vincent) Vagni and loving "Nonno" to his four grandsons, Brandon and Andrew Sacca and Vincent and Christian Vagni. He loved his grandchildren more than life itself and took pride in watching them grow up. 

Vincenzo was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy to Pietro Saccá and Antoniá Lagana, brother of Lucia, Francesca, Carmela and Olimpia Saccá. Vincenzo grew up helping his father oversee the family farm. Later, after serving time in the Italian military, Vincenzo immigrated to the United States where he became a master cement mason for Local 526, where he was a proud member for over 50 years. His work was physically demanding, requiring strength, perseverance, and long hours. He took pride in his work often pointing out places he had worked on to his family as a cement mason. 

Vincenzo was a man of few words, but he made sure his family knew that he loved them. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and those who knew him best. Funeral will take place on Monday September 28, 2026, at 10am, in the St. Paul Cathedral Parish St. Rosalia worship site 411 Greenfield Ave.15207. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donation to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangement entrusted to the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207.
