William O'Malley, Sr.

William F. O’Malley Sr. “Bill” 89 of Greenfield formerly Point Breeze. Passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith O’Malley; parents, Richard and Kathryn O’Malley; grandson, William Hartnett and best friend, A.T. Caggiano. Survived by his loving children, Bill (Eithne) O’Malley, Ray (Nancy) O’Malley, and Cheri (John) Turcovsky; grandchildren, Shane (Erin), Catie, Billy, Stephen, and Vicky O’Malley. Bill was a graduate of Peabody High School and worked at Nabisco for 43 years. He had a passion for Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers and Penguins. He also coached little league baseball. He loved spending time with his family at gatherings. Bill showed strength and resiliency with life that will be carried on by his children. He will always be their hero. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 3-8 p.m. in the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Wednesday, at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
