William James Rahuba was born March 13, 1939 in Munhall, Pennsylvania and passed away Sunday March 9, 2025. “Bill” lived a life defined by intellect, adventure, and deep devotion to his family. He was a cherished brother to Kathleen (deceased), Mary Ed, and Bartley (wife Sandy). He was predeceased in death by his devoted wife, Patricia (née Richards), and his beloved daughter Patricia Jane Rahuba Pigeon. He is survived by his son, William Edward Rahuba of Tampa, Florida, and his seven grandchildren: Maximillien, Patricia, Celestine, and Morgane of Montréal, Quebec, and William, Riley, and Patrick of St. Petersburgh, FL and Las Vegas, NV each of whom he adored and who, in turn, cherished him. Bill was a scholar and an athlete, excelling as the captain of the basketball team at the College of Steubenville. He subsequently transitioned his scholarship from athletic to academic; and received his law degree from John Marshall University. Bill was a man of great curiosity and adventure. He was a pilot, a deep-sea diver, and traveled across the world, never losing his wonder for the people and places he encountered. His stories were legendary, his laughter infectious, and his wisdom a gift to all who knew him. Above all, Bill will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his sharp wit, and his profound desire to know and understand the world he lived in. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. Bill will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Arrangements entrusted to the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home.
