Cherished husband of Amy (Gillespie) Smith, devoted father of Lauren Nicole and Joseph William Smith, son of Regina (Baker) and the late William C. Smith. Brother of James (Mary Ellen) Smith, Deborah (Thomas) Driscoll, Jean (Glenn) Sturm, Sharon P. Smith, and the late Thomas J. Smith. Son-in-law of Bonnie and the late James J. Gillespie. Brother-in-law of Gregory (Laura Cronin) Gillespie, Davie (Roberta) Gillespie, and the late James J. Gillespie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill served as Executive Director of the Greenfield Organization for 25+ years and was also a bartender at Yesterday’s for over 30 years. Funeral services private.
