Dear Georgie, Karen, Sandy and other family member:

On behalf of the entire Laird family please accept our condolences with the loss of your mother. I have so many great childhood memories of visiting with your parents or meeting up with them at parties and weddings. Your mother was a wonderful woman and I am sorry that we lost touch over the years. We wish you all peace in knowing that your mother and father are now together. I am sure that uncle Bunny, my grandparents, aunt Marilyn, my father and many, many others welcomed your mother into heaven. I hope you take great solace in the years you spent with her, she loved you all dearly. I apologize that we missed the funeral and wish you peace.

In the early hours of August 13th, 2016, my Grandma Marge left us to be reunited with my grandfather (George R Ribarchak Sr), her siblings, parents, other family members, and friends.

Grandma Marge had an extraordinary life and lived it in such a way that would make one envious. From her smile to her wit, she carried on a full 90 years of love and happiness.

Our adventures around Pittsburgh always fascinated me. From exploring downtown, walking around Oakland and Greenfield, to eating at Eatin' Park at the Waterfront where you would conclude meals with Lemon Meringue Pie (also my favorite because of you), to watching the trains pass by with me as a young kid, to taking me on my first boat ride in downtown, there are just simply too many memories to put into words.

This remarkable lady was a fighter. She battled various illnesses like it was a piece of cake (or lemon meringue pie) but always maintained that smile that was so familiar and warm. She was my best friend, my confidant, and ALWAYS had the best advice and made me laugh more often than not. But that laugh that was so familiar has now gone, and I am left with all these memories.

As you said to me at the end of every conversation for the past 26 years, I say to you....

"I love you and above all, be well."
